Gotta’ Stay Fly Prom fashion for men By: Olivia Ramirez |
|
Men, men, men. Women always take forever to get dressed. Well, now it is your turn to take the time to buy the latest prom suit so you can look extra fly. Want to look extremely fly? Here are some pointers, suggestions, and fashion don’ts for you, too. An easy way to go is to buy a suit that complements your date’s outfit. Ask your date what kind of dress she is wearing and what color it is. If she is wearing pink, why not wear a pink tie? If her dress has a bunch of beads and glitter, get a simple suit, not only so that she can shine, but also so that together, you won’t look extremely loud. If she is wearing a simple dress, wear a suit that stands out with class; i.e., a three-button black-stripe tuxedo. But before you go shopping for your ideal tux, beware of these fashion don’ts:
Bright, colorful suits Please don’t show up looking like a lime or a banana. It’s just not nice. Keep it simple.
Suits that are too big or small Having the wrong size suit (whether intentional or not) makes the body look disproportional and others will notice.
Skinny and fat ties Plain and simple: they are not attractive. A reasonably-sized tie that is proportional to your suit is much better.
Sounds easy enough, right? Well, that is before the price tag. To put it bluntly, tuxes are not cheap. Renting a tux may leave a bitter taste in your mouth, but in the long run, it’s cheaper than buying a tux (unless you damage it). Then, you have to buy it and you end up paying more. So, what do you do? Take the time to ask around at different stores about their prices and rental policies. Comparison |

shop and choose the one that suits your needs and makes you feel comfortable on your unforgettable night. While shopping for the right suit may seem daunting, don’t forget that it’s just one night and who you’re with is more important than what you wear. |
