Congratulations to our Middle School Girls Basketball team
for bringing the Dallas Parochial League Championship back home to Bishop Dunne. They defeated St. Rita at Ursuline Monday night, 10 March. Since the girls were up late and played a great game with sportsmanship and effort we are allowing them to dress down and wear their championship medals. We would also like to congratulate Coach Terry Flowers, Coach Kelly Trojan and Coach Steve Rubealcaba for a wonderful season.

The championship players are Ericca Branch, Tabitha Nwansi, Dreu Dixon, Destiny Gamble, Jourdan Kerl-Henderson, Jennifer Lyssy, Daniela Ramirez, and Victoria Rubealcaba.

Monday, May 5 - Wednesday, May 7

Xavier Matthew Benefit 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament
Many of the staff members have put together a 3 on 3 basketball tournament on Monday, May 5 through Wednesday, May 7. The tournament is open to the students of Bishop Dunne. Our goal is to raise funds for Xavier's family to help offset some of the medical costs incurred with all of his treatments. We will also be pre-selling navy blue shirts with the Bishop Dunne logo and Xavier Matthew Benefit 3 on 3. The cost is $10 with an extra $2.00 for size XXL, and shirts will be sold through Wednesday of this week (April 30). All the funds made from the T-Shirts and the tournament will go to Xavier's family. Please e-mail Nurse Trojan with any further questions at ktrojan@bdhs.org

Friday, May 9

High School Athletic Banquet The high school athletic banquet will be held on Friday, May 9th at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium. The guest speaker this year is Dallas Cowboys Defensive Tackle, Terry “Tank” Johnson. Student athletes may pick up an RSVP form from their head coach or follow the link below. There is no charge for student athletes. The cost is $25.00 per adult and $12.00 per child (ages 6-17). Middle School Athletic Banquet The middle school athletic banquet will be held on Friday, May 16th at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Student athletes may pick up an RSVP form from their head coach or follow the link below. There is no charge for student athletes. The cost is $15.00 per adult and $10.00 per child (ages 6-17). Junior Retreat - May 19-20

The junior class will attend the Junior overnight retreat on May 19-20. They will leave Bishop Dunne immediately after school on Monday, May 19 and be back by
3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20. The retreat will be at Sky Ranch in East Texas.
