GeoTech 2009
offers a rich mix of activities spread across three days. On Thursday
and Friday (March 5 – 6), there will be approximately fourteen
hands-on, interactive, and cross-curricular workshops centered around
social studies, humanities, language arts, STEM (science, technology,
engineering and mathematics), and geospatial technologies. All conference
presenters are leaders in the effort to integrate technologies and critical
thinking across the curriculum in the K-12 classroom. Check out the calendar

This year, Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson from the Hayden
Planetarium of New York City, will provide an engaging, informative and exciting presentation
on Thursday evening. This is a must attend event.

Dr.
deGrasse Tyson is a leading astrophysicist, the director
of the venerable American
Museum of Natural History's Hayden Planetarium, a columnist
for Natural
History Magazine, the host of PBS’s NOVA
Origins miniseries, star of the PBS series NOVA
scienceNOW, and is a frequent guest on The Daily Show with
Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report. He has written eight popular
books with the latest, Death by Black Hole, becoming a New York
Times best seller.
