Girl in HallInternational Students

Bishop Dunne is happy to welcome international students and does annually issue I-20 forms to eligible students.  In a typical year we will have between five and ten international students studying at Bishop Dunne.

International Students must meet the following requirements before they can be offered acceptance and have an I-20 issued:

1) International students must demonstrate English language proficiency by providing results for one of the TOEFL tests listed below.  Students should be aware that Bishop Dunne does not provide ESL coursework or have an ESL center.  All classes are taught in English, and all students are required to read, write and speak English.  Students performing at the levels listed below will be considered for admission to Bishop Dunne Catholic School:

International Computer TOEFL:

133 or higher

International Paper TOEFL:

450 or higher

International Internet TOEFL:

45 or higher

2) International students must show written documentation that they have secured a host family in the Dallas area.  Bishop Dunne does not provide, nor recommend host families for students.

3) International students must complete the “Confirmation of Financial Resources” sheet which can be found on our website.

4) International students will have a telephone interview with the Director of Admission at Bishop Dunne Catholic School.

Only after all 4 of these steps are complete can an international student be accepted and an I-20 issued.
